Who is this Nicole Miller, anyway? I can tell you, if you’re thinking I’m the clothing designer, you’re off base. While that would be a fun profession, I am much better at putting words together than threading a needle. I’m an Oregonian who is passionate about entrepreneurship, community vitality, and getting the word out.
Getting the word out, you say? Strange thing to be passionate about! But, it makes more sense when you combine the things that move me: I’m energized by getting the word out about small businesses, and helping communities thrive. Whether you need regional, national or international exposure, our team can get you there with our reputation for persistence, follow-through and dedication to a job well done.
It started with my bachelor’s in journalism, specifically public relations, from the School of Journalism and Communications at the University of Oregon. That, coupled with an excellent program in community leadership from the Ford Family Foundation, provides the base of skills under which the Word’s Out PR team operates.
As an entrepreneur myself, I was thrilled with the thought of helping to bring the Sirolli Institute’s Enterprise Facilitation (EF) program to our community. Now our communities’ EF program operates under the name GROW North Santiam, and I serve as a resource board and management team member.
What small business could survive without a trusty, reliable and progressive team? Word’s Out PR couldn’t do it without our dependable bookkeeper Susan Dickinson, our out-of-the-box social media diva Danielle Kuehnel, PR pro Christy Barber and GROW business coach Allison McKenzie. Thank goodness for trusty work associates who have developed into loyal friends, as well!
If you’re looking to get the word out about your business or cause, give me a call at 503.949.7621. Our gung-ho Word’s Out PR team can’t wait to spread the good word about you!
